In the end, Tasha stayed with Irene and Josie backed off once and for all. Mick is Luc's biological father, who raped her mother, Billie before she dated VJ. The character and Stewart's casting was announced on 5 December 2015, alongside Jackson Heywood and Orpheus Pledger, who play Justin's brothers. The actors began filming their first scenes during the week commencing 7 December. Justin is Stewart's first on-going role since he took a year off to care for his young daughter. The nomination did not progress to the viewer-voted shortlist.
Hope struggles to sleep, so Nate Cooper prescribes her some diazepam. Hope steals some sleeping pills from his kit and takes an accidental overdose, resulting in her hospitalisation. Hope apologises to Phoebe and asks her to look after Raffy.

Irene endures a painkiller addiction, her relationship with Paris ends and she tries to cope with Tasha Andrews' wayward behaviour. Irene's health deteriorates when she tries to help fellow alcoholic Kit Hunter remain sober.
